
That considered I'd say $5 is the absolute most this game should ask for, and even then it'd need a pretty heft discount to really build a userbase in the first week.

I'm assuming, however, that Steam likely doesn't want many people selling games at the $1 price point so if the issue with that is with Steam then that's understandable. I understand that asking $1 for a PC game is a bit insane but I'd say the amount of purchases you'd get would make up for the low asking price. While $1 is admittedly low I feel there's a market that goes untapped on steam (although I may not understand how Steam dictates what is an acceptable price to ask) and $10 is indicitive of the current trend of ignoring previous pricepoints.Ī game that's as old as this is, that's mostly just a port, shouldn't be asking for $10x the price it was new on it's platform of origin.
